How long does hair need to be for waxing?Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about 2-3 weeks of growth after shaving). This ensures the wax can grip the hair properly for complete removal. Avoid shaving 2-3 days before your appointment for best results.

How long do waxing results last?Professional waxing typically lasts 3-6 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle and the area treated. This is significantly longer than shaving, which needs to be done every 1-2 days. With regular waxing, hair grows back finer and sparser over time.

Is waxing painful, and what can I do to minimize discomfort?Most clients find waxing much more comfortable than expected. The discomfort is brief and decreases with regular appointments as hair becomes finer. To minimize discomfort: avoid caffeine before your appointment, take an over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes prior, and schedule appointments for after your menstrual cycle when sensitivity is lower.

What should I do before and after my waxing appointment?Before: Stop shaving 2-3 days prior, exfoliate gently 24 hours before, avoid sun exposure and retinoids for 24 hours, wear loose, comfortable clothing. After: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and tight clothing for 24 hours. Apply a soothing lotion and avoid sun exposure for 24-48 hours to prevent irritation.
